About the Author
Robert Anemone is a biological anthropologist (Ph.D. 1988, University of Washington) with research interests in primate paleontology, growth and development and life history of hominoids, and functional anatomy of living and fossil prosimian primates. He has an active vertebrate paleontology research program in the Paleocene and Eocene of the Great Divide Basin in southwestern Wyoming, where he has been leading field crews since 1994. Before coming to Western Michigan University in 1998, he taught at Tulane University and at the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Sinceramente no sé si puedo agregar algo a lo que pienso del talento de Verónica que no haya escrito en mis otras críticas a sus libros. Así que decir que esta segunda parte de la biología Insensible cubrió mis expectativas cae de maduro. Por eso voy a decir lo que me dió este libro: Emociones intensas, lágrimas de amor, risas, enojos, pero sobre todo me dejó una sensación de paz. Que todo se puede alcanzar. An important contribution on spiritual vitality

The title captures our attention and captures the heartbeat of the book. It is about “senses.” And it is about how to break through to experience change for the better.

Professor and Pastor, Dr. Steve Korch directs our attention to the realm of the spiritual through such “senses” as wonder and presence and eternity, carefully keeping God at the center. He is not content with trivial or clich� banter but exhibits sensitivity to life even at its most painful. “Why am I doing what I am doing? Does any of this really matter? What’s the point? … Do I matter? Am I enough? Does anyone really care?”

He writes with engaging flow and vivid images and lively connection points. Most importantly, his message is gripping and serious. This life is temporal and terminal; we must concentrate on the unseen and eternal. For, ready or not, it will soon overtake us. Yet this life is important: important enough that we must change and change in improving ways.

the author does an excellent job in making even some of the more "over-the-top" ...

As noted in the review posted prior to mine, this tale of erotic mental and physical transformation has elements which will NOT be to everyone's taste, and while certain aspects were also not "my cup of tea" , the author does an excellent job in making even some of the more "over-the-top" elements seem sexy. The descriptions are vivid but not explicitly graphic, with enough detail to prove stimulating. The writing shines in the ability to portray "non-traditional" characters with bodies that don't conform to mainstream beauty standards as still sexy and erotic in the intimacy scenes. The biggest criticism might be the story does involve some heavy academic verbiage which proved a little distracting for someone (like me) who simply doesn't have the background to catch all the references. But that didn't prevent my ultimate enjoyment.

Brilliant and twisted

Brilliant and twisted, but a warning is needed. If you want a story about a sexy bimbo...look elsewhere. If you want a story where a woman becomes sort of 'sexy plump' and leaves it at that, then find it some other place. THIS is a story where a sexy, blond fashion plate slowly becomes a genus...but also a staggeringly obese, gluttonous slob. It's a bit over the top, but if it's your cup of tea...then you'll be satisfied. VERY well written (no stumbling, ham-handed crap here) and obviously a labor of love. Also, I should note that this story has a "happy" ending, where our obese heroine and her beau (also a fat genus) are obviously in love with each other.

Enjoy transformations? Enjoy BBW? Even hot gothy women! This is the story for you. Very interesting dialogue, very intelligently stated theories and philosophy laid out amongst a transformation into the woman of his dreams. Letting yourself read and imagine if a ring could change someone into exactly what you want, maybe even more perfect than one can believe or want.

I loved this book and you will too!

Bullseye Breach is a fictionalization of the recent security lapses at major retailers and a plan for how to fight back against such breaches. The IT side of this book is right on. For starters, the method used by the bad guys to hack into the retailer highlights the role of social engineering. Access to Bullseye's intranet is through a simple password gleaned from a third-party vendor via "phishing" --- the technique hackers use to get someone to click on a link in an email and/or download something. The hackers dress up the link so the person being targeted ignores any security warnings from the browser or operating system. A similar technique is also used in the book to gain administrator passwords for the retailer's intranet. The message is clear and can't be stressed enough: know your sources. Don't click on or download from anyone you're not 110% sure of. And, don't ignore security warnings from your antivirus program or operating system.

Beyond a blueprint for how the recent credit-card scams might have happened and how to prevent or deal with the hacking, Bullseye Breach is a great read. There are many characters, but each is idiosyncratic enough to be memorable in their own right. The bad guys are plausible and unfortunate. The main hero is adorable, with his loud sweater and inappropriate footwear. (You can just see this nerdy man in action.) Scott's prose is fluid and easy to read, gently propelling the reader onward through the twists and turns of the breach and resolution. I loved this book, and you will too!

A terrific techno-thriller from a new author

Don't let the topic scare you off. The story was very fun to read.The characters are great. The technology is very real and accessible and felt 100% authentic from beginning to end. As in most techno-thrillers exposition is required, here it felt organic, like real dialog between people, not just so the reader can catch up.The writing is crisp making situations easy to visualize. Being from the area the local color is right on,and some of the fictionalized business names had me in stitches. To illustrate how real and threatening the problem still is, we have had several of our credit cards replaced recently due to breaches, and the retailer I used to print a lot of my photography has shut down their online site. To the author, please write more of these, I can't wait to see what Gerry gets drawn into next.

A Fast Read

A fast read. A good first book for Greg Scott. It gave me a much better understanding on the 'Bullseye" breach (counting myself as one of its millions of victims). There are parts of the book where you can definitely tell it was written by a "rookie" author (no disrespect intended), but overall, Mr. Scott keeps the story moving and interesting. Being in the IT / Information Security field myself, I recognized many of the issues we face in the industry, especially the attitudes from IT and business executives that look at security as a burden and not an absolute necessity. I look forward to Mr. Scott's future work.
